Nitrogen cycle

Order-No. 6232

Department:
  • Chemistry

Year of production: 2016
Duration: 05:06 minutes

The subject of this film is the nitrogen cycle. Part of the nitrogen resources in the Earth's atmosphere is converted by special bacteria into nitrogen compounds that can be processed by plants. Humans and animals ingest these nitrogen compounds in their food. The nitrogen is returned to the soil in animal excrement that contains urea and in rotting plants, and can then be absorbed by plants.
This film shows how the nitrogen cycle works and presents the Haber-Bosch process.
