Duration: 06:29 minutes

This film is about one of the most important solvents: water. A water molecule is made up of 2 hydrogen and one oxygen atom. Due to the position of the atoms, the electrical charge in the molecule is asymmetrical. The oxygen atom forms the negative pole and the hydrogen atoms the positive pole. The hydrogen molecule has an electrical plus and negative pole. Salts are also dipoles. The film shows what water's property as a solvent is all about.
